About the RWNPHC

The focus of the Raleigh/Wake Pan-Hellenic Council (RWNPHC) is to contribute to the political, spiritual, social, economic and cultural life of Raleigh and the surrounding area through the presentation of programs.  The organization also gives aggressive support to the upward mobility of the youth of the community.

The Council is comprised of 16 affiliate organizations each with up to 3 representatives serving on the Council.

Operating under President Andrea Breazeale’s I.M.P.A.C.T. (Inspiring and Motivating People through Action, Collaboration and Tradition) Plan, some of RWNPHC’s Goals and Objectives for the year include to:

  • Increase visibility of the Council within the Community
  • Focus on ways to inform and help to improve the health of members of the community by supporting programs related to cancer awareness and HIV/AIDS awareness
  • Increase community service activities
  • Continue to host the flagship program, Gus Witherspoon Community Recognition Awards
  • Partner with surrounding Councils for networking, social and community service programming
